Nepal set 243 runs target for UAE in 2nd ODI

KATHMANDU: Having lost the first of three ODIs by 3 wickets, Nepal took the batting mantle first on their second fixture and posed a target of 243 runs to UAE at the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs.

16-year-old all rounder Rohit Kumar Poudel contributed 55 runs off 58 balls as Nepal basked in an unrestrained bout with the bat.

Likewise, openers Gyanendra Malla and Binod Bhandari struck a partnership of 61 runs before Nepal lost their first wicket.

The home team who lead the series 1-0 will shortly begin a target chase at ICC Academy in Dubai.
