Nepal's Embassy in Bangkok hosted a Business-to-Business (B2B) meeting between tourism entrepreneurs from Nepal and Thailand on May 29 at the Amari Hotel in Bangkok, bringing together 18 Nepali tourism companies and over 100 representatives from 63 Thai tourism firms.
Nepali participants included hotels such as Dusit Princess, Aloft, and Hotel Royal Singi, alongside operators including Karnali Rafting, Mountain Routes, Kathmandu Holiday Tours and Travel, Pumori Journey, Himalayan Holidays, Adventure X, Lapara Di Tour, Apex Himalayan Treks and Expeditions, Himalaya Treasures Trekking, Himalayan Journey, Barang Village Community Homestay, Core Treks, Nepal Airlines, and Buddha Air.
Addressing participants, the Ambassador praised tourism's role as a bridge between the two countries' historical, religious, cultural, and people-to-people ties, and called on operators to facilitate growing Thai interest in visiting Nepal.
Deputy Chief of Mission Moti Bahadur Shris presented tourism exchange data spanning the past 13 years, noting that Thai arrivals to Nepal had declined from 40,969 in 2013 to 30,243 in 2025, despite overall growth in Thai outbound tourism, indicating significant untapped potential.
Presentations at the meeting covered Nepal's diverse tourism offerings, including Lumbini, Janakpur, Kathmandu Valley heritage sites, the Everest region, Annapurna trails, wildlife tourism, yoga and wellness, wedding tourism, film tourism, and mountain adventure activities.
The embassy also confirmed that Nepal's tourist visa application process is fully online and that visas can be issued within minutes in urgent cases. Promotional materials prepared by Nepali tourism businesses will be regularly published and distributed by the embassy.
