Ambassador Rana presents credentials to Japanese Emperor Akihito
TOKYO: The newly appointed Nepali Ambassador to Japan Pratibha Rana presented her Letters of Credence to the Japanese Emperor Akihito on Friday.
On the occasion, the duo discussed issues of strengthening Nepal-Japan relations, informed Embassy's Charge d' Affaires, Krishna Chandra Aryal.
Ambassador Rana conveyed greetings from President Bidya Devi Bhandari to the 84-year-old emperor wishing a good health and prosperity.
Meanwhile, the Japanese Emperor took special note of the political changes taking place in Nepal and wished Rana a successful term. Akihito had last visited Nepal two decades ago.
Nepal-Japan bilateral ties formally begun on 01 September, 1956.
