Security agencies asked to coordinate with hotels and tourism professionals for rescue support
KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 10
The Nepali Army has issued an appeal to foreign nationals currently stranded in Nepal amid the ongoing complex situation, requesting them to seek immediate help from nearby security agencies.
In a notice released by the Public Relations and Information Directorate, the Army urged all foreign citizens awaiting rescue or assistance to directly contact security personnel deployed in their vicinity.
The statement further called for close coordination with hotels, tourism operators, and other affiliated organizations to facilitate timely support for foreign nationals.
Authorities have been on heightened alert as demonstrations led by Gen Z youths continue across the Kathmandu Valley, prompting curfews, travel disruptions, and the temporary closure of Tribhuvan International Airport.
Tourists and visitors have been among those affected, with several airlines suspending operations and hotels reporting difficulties in accommodating stranded travelers.
