Nepali book exhibition in London

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Embassy in the United Kingdom has organised a literary festival and Nepali book exhibition to mark the bicentennial diplomatic ties between Nepal and the UK.

As many as 3,000 books published from the Sajha Publications have been kept in the three-day event, it is said.

Visiting the exhibition, CPN Maoist Centre leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha and the leader of Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic Jitendra Dev praised the event conducted from the government level.

Shrestha said that such exhibitions would be instrumental to familiarise Nepal and Nepali writers' creations.

Also speaking at the programme, Nepal's Ambassador to the UK Durga Bahadur Subedi said that he would take initiatives to take the Nepali literary pieces in other European countries as well.
