Khotang, June 10

The Nepali Congress has finalised its candidates for all local level posts in Khotang district.

Nepali Congress Mahasamiti member Bishnu Kumar Rai said his party had finalised party candidates for the June 28 civic polls in all 10 local bodies.

Rajansher Rai and Kanta Basnet are mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates from the NC at Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality. The party has given tickets to Iwan Rai and Bimala Rai for the mayor and deputy mayoral post of Haleshi Tuwachung Municipality.

Similarly, Janak Karki and Shiova Pandey are the candidates for chair and deputy chair post of Lamidanda Rural Municipality.

Ichhuram Rana and Sarita Khadka, Bhupendra Rai and Sapana Rai, Khem Bahadur Khadka and Anita Rai are the party’s candidates for chair and deputy chair in Sakela, Diprung, Jantedhunga rural municipalities respectively.

Likewise,the party has picked Prem Kumar Rai and Usha Kumari Rai for the chair and deputy chair at Khotehang Rural Municipality. Biswonath Niraula and Shanti Rai are party’s candidates for chair and deputy chair at Aishelukharka Rural Municipality.

CPN-UML, UCPN-Maoist Centre, and Federal Socialist Forum have already finalized their candidates in the district.
