Koirala sounds warning
NAWALPUR: Nepali Congress General Secretary Shashank Koirala has said that his party was forced to take to protest against the government due to the latter’s unilateral ways.
“Even when our party acted as a positive opposition, the government didn’t stop its unilateral ways, which is why we had to resort to protest,” he said, speaking at a protest meeting organised in Nawalpur’s Kawasoti on Monday as per the party’s nationwide agitation programme. “One after another, the government is involved in taking controversial steps and decisions. We will continue our agitation, if the ruling party doesn’t rectify itself after this initial phase of agitation of ours,” he warned.
