Janakpurdham, November 21

Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel today said the NC’s role would be crucial in settling the concerns of the Madhesi communities through constitution amendment.

Addressing a party gathering in Jaleshwor, Mahottari, today, Paudel underscored the need to resolve the concerns raised by the Madhesi forces through constitution amendment soon.

He said the government needed to respect the demands voiced by the people and fulfil the genuine ones while amending the constitution.

“Necessary preparations are under way for the same. This is the reason why Nepali Congress initiated the Tarai-Madhes Campaign,” claimed Paudel.

He pledged that his party would collect necessary feedback during the campaign and take firm stance to amend the constitution accordingly.

Meanwhile, the vehicle that Poudel was riding on the way to Mahottari from Bardibash met with a minor accident at Jaukh Chowk today morning.

According to Mahottari Police Chief SP Janak Bhattarai, all persons aboard the vehicle including Paudel were safe, but the vehicle was slightly damaged.
