NC slams government

Kathmandu, November 22

The main opposition Nepali Congress today called into question the government’s existence while slamming the latter for its performance over the past nine months since its formation.

The NC accused the government of derailing the working procedure of the federal setup and asked whether it was a drafted conspiracy to foil the federal system.

Organising a press conference, NC Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma pointed at the political influence over the judiciary. He also demanded serious investigation into Nepal Airline’s terms of procurement agreement of the wide-body aircraft, while seeking answers on agreements and progress of other infrastructure projects such as Nijgadh International Airport and Budhi Gandaki Hydel Project.

The main opposition has also requested the government to make public the Cabinet decisions within 24 hours and not seven days as imposed.
