Nepali migrant worker dies in Portugal

LISBON: A migrant worker from Pokhara who had been working in Portugal, has died in Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal.

Sujat Karki (28) of Rambazaar in Pokhara, who was working in a restaurant in Lisbon, passed away recently. Karki had been residing in Portugal for the past three years.

According to Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Chairman Portugal Chapter Kuber Karki.  Karki was found lying unconscious on the way on May 1 and breathed his last while being rushed  to a hospital by the security personnel.

It has been learned that preparations for the final rites of deceased Nepali national are on to be held in Portugal based on the consultations with the family members and relatives.
