KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 4

Dr Bivek Singh, a Nepali physician, has been recognized as one of the top five finalists in the "Most Engaged Academic of the Year" category at the Triple E Awards (Entrepreneurship and Engagement Excellence Awards), held in Kuala Lumpur from September 2-4. This prestigious award celebrates Dr Singh's remarkable contributions to entrepreneurship and academic engagement in higher education.

Dr Singh was declared the winner in the final round of the selection process. The award program was organized by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and

Engaged Universities (ACEEU), Germany, and Management and Science University (MSU), Malaysia. This global platform recognizes academic leaders who have made significant contributions to fostering entrepreneurship and engagement within higher education.

Other finalists in the competition included Manisha Singh from India, Richa Awasthy from Australia, Minyong Li from China, and Yuantuo Kusnadi from Singapore. Dr Singh's Contributions: With over a decade of experience in medical education, Dr Singh has made significant strides in advancing medical and academic fields in Nepal and

across other Asian countries. His initiative, the Nepalese Doctors Lounge (NEDOL), has become a vital platform connecting medical professionals and fostering improvement in training and healthcare practices.

Dr Singh has also published nine research papers in renowned international journals and authored three books that have received national and international

recognition. In addition to his academic work, he has made significant contributions during times of crisis, such as earthquakes, the swine flu pandemic, and COVID-19, where he volunteered his expertise and services. His dedication to public health and education has further enhanced his reputation as a leader in the field.
