Nepalis in Israel extend help to Jhapa flood victims

DAMAK: Nepalis in Israel have extended support by providing tents to flood victims in Shivasatashi of Jhapa district.

The tents were handed over to the locals amid a programme organised on Tuesday, informed Campaign Coordinator Hom Gautam.

The Jhapa Community in Israel provided materials worth Rs 220,000 including 20 corrugated zinc sheets, 15 sacks of cement, three toiletries and two tube-wells among others.

Locals were living in the open after floods in Mechi, Ninda, Biring, Kankai and Ratuwa among other rivers displaced some 900 households in the district in the monsoon last year.

Nepali migrants in Hong Kong extend support for ailing girl

MYAGDI: Members of the Nepali diaspora in Hong Kong have extended support for the heart surgery of Arunima Nepali, an eight–year–old girl of Arjami in Beni Municipality-2.

Nepali, who comes from a poor family, is currently undergoing treatment for the hole she has in her heart at the Gangalal Heart Centre in Kathmandu.

The Myagdi Migrant Nepali Association (MMNA) in Hong Kong handed over a support of Rs 80,000 to the campaign run by Om Kumari Shanti Fund for the girl's treatment.

A total of 17 Nepali migrants in Hong Kong contributed for girl's treatment.
