PCR and Antigen tests add up to 1736 cases

Daily reported Covid-19 cases in Nepal crossed the 1000 cases mark yet again on Tuesday with 1,667 fresh infections reported from across the country.
With this, the total countrywide infection count has now advanced to 287,567.
Of the newly infected, 626 are females and 1,041 are males.
Meanwhile, antigen tests confirmed 69 positive cases in the past 24 hours. As such, total infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests added up to 1,736 today.
Of the total cases that surfaced today, Kathmandu district holds the highest number of new infections -- 550 cases.
Likewise, 251 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.
As of today, 275,806 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection.
The recovery rate from the disease stands at 95.9 per cent.
Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 8,659.
The nationwide death-toll has reached 3,102 with 11 Covid-related fatalities reported today.
According to the health ministry, 8,738 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, of which 8,055 were PCR tests while 683 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 2,360,557 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
Currently, there are 92 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Monday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 285,900, with 1,227 newly confirmed cases.
Globally, over 142 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 3 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 121 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
