‘Netra Jyoti Sangh providing service to 90pc patients’

Province 1 Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai today said Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh was providing eye care services to 90 per cent eye patients in the country.
Inaugurating the first convention of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh in Bhedetar of Dhankuta today, CM Rai said that people from neighbouring countries also visited hospitals run by NJS for treatment. CM Rai said the government was ready to help the eye hospitals run by NJS. Eye patients from countries such as India, Bangladesh and Bhutan visit the eye hospitals run by NJS.
Chair of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh Shyam Sundar Udash said they had been providing services through 18 eye hospitals and 100 eye treatment centres. “Of them, four eye hospitals and 21 treatment centres are in Province 1,” he added.
