President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to three newly appointed ministers at a special program held at Sheetal Niwas today.

The ceremony, in accordance with Article 80 of the Constitution, saw President Paudel officiating the swearing-in process for the newly appointed ministers. These appointments, made under the purview of Article 76 (9) of the Constitution, followed the recommendation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Padam Giri from the CPN (UML), Hit Bahadur Tamang from the CPN (Maoist Centre), and Dol Prasad Aryal from the Rastriya Swatantra Party took their respective oaths of office and secrecy. However, all newly appointed ministers currently hold the status of being without portfolio until specific responsibilities are assigned to them.

In today's cabinet formation and allocation of responsibilities, as recommended by the Prime Minister, PM Dahal assumed roles in all ministries, including the Finance Ministry, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ministry of Water Supply, Home Ministry, Foreign Ministry, and Ministry of Land Management, Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation.

The event was attended by dignitaries such as Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Chief Justice Bishwombhar Shrestha, among others.
