Newly purchased Nepal Army plane lands at TIA
KATHMANDU: The medium fixed-wing airplane purchased from Indonesia by Nepal Army has landed in the Tribhuvan International Airport this morning.
According to Nepal Army Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pande, the cargo plane was purchased to supply disaster-related relief materials and for military training. The 51-seater plane with the call sign 235-200 cost the Army 300 million US dollars.
A letter of credit was opened in August 2017 for the purchase of the cargo plane.
The plane manufactured by the KASA Company had the main flight on November 11, 1983.
Turkey, France, Malaysia are some the countries on top list to buy the aircraft from this company.
