NAWALPARASI: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi on Friday said the government would announce the local polls date only after the amendment of the constitution.

Speaking at an interaction programme organised by the Reporters Club Nepal, Nawalparasi Minister Nidhi said the government is holding consultation with the opposition CPN-UML for solving problems including the delineation issue.

He further said the talks held with the CPN-UML and disgruntled United Democratic Madhesi Front has moved in right direction.
