Night-bus service to be converted in to day service
The night buses operating from different parts of Ilam district to Kathmandu will ply in day time from Saturday. According to the president of Night bus Entrepreneurs’ Association (NEA) Ilam, Shreedhar Gautam, the meeting held on Thursday decided to switch to the new schedule. In connection with security situation, department of transportation management (DOTM) has despatched a letter to postpone the night service. The decision was taken by the department because there will be problem to maintain security in the night. The recent decision taken by DOTM is on the favour of the people, states NEA.
Before this, 4 buses from Pashupatinagar and one from Rake and Ilam bazaar each, totalling 5 in total were reported to have been operating their service during the night time whereas 01 night bus was running from Pashupatinagar to Birganj. Meanwhile, from Saturday morning the buses will start plying at 3 am from Ilam bazaar, providing day service to the passengers of the Pashupatinagar in rotation, said Gautam, president of NEA.
