Nilambar Acharya for eco-tourism

KATHMANDU: CA Constitutional Committee chairman Nilambar Acharya today said tourism should feature high on the list of priorities. Speaking at a programme organised by Youth Network on Social and Environmental Development here in the capital, Acharya said, “We should unite and commit to promote tourism as it has a high potential in the country.”

“We have many things to boast of, to boost tourism in the country. It’s high time we all should overcome the dilemma and put it in the priority,” said Shanta Chaudhary, president of the parliamentary Committee on Natural Resources.

Professor Dr Shiva Subedi, secretary of Ministry of Local Development Krishna Gyawali, assistant DEAN of Institute of Science and Technology, TU, Prof Dr Madan Koirala, among others, also urged all to come into a single platform to promote ecotourism in the country, which would help boost the country’s economy a good deal. The programme was organised by so as to promote the ecotourism in the western district of Dang.
