Kathmandu, June 27:

The Nepal Mountaineering Association’s (NMA) central committee member in a memorandum to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation today urged the authorities to hold the association’s upcoming elections. The association has also pointed to the misappropriation of funds and unconstitutional appointment of some of its members.

“Certain individuals have misappropriated millions of rupees in the past 12 years. Moreover, ineligible members are getting the NMA membership while the deserving candidates are being refused entry,” said a statement.
