No complaint lodged against nominees
KATHMANDU: No complaint was lodged at the Parliamentary Hearing Committee against four ambassadorial nominees.
The 10-day deadline given to the public by the PHC to lodge complaints against ambassadorial nominees ended on Monday. On November 11, the government had nominated Nilambar Acharya as ambassador to India, Uday Raj Pandey as ambassador to Malaysia, Krishna Dhakal as ambassador to United Arab Emirates, and Anjan Shakya as ambassador to Israel.
Deputy Spokesperson for Parliament Secretariat Keshav Aryal said no complaint was lodged against any ambassadorial nominee. He, however, added that one person expresses concern about the need to ensure inclusion while nominating ambassadors.
