DHANGADI: A rally was taken out today against the ritualistic animal sacrifice in the district at a time when Hindu devotees are preparing for sacrifice in name of Goddess Durga Bhawani on the occasion of Mahaastami during Dashain festival.

The non-violence rally was organised by Brahmakumari Ishworiya University Rajyog Training Centre of Dhangadi.

The rally went around the major thoroughfares of the Bazaar areas and concluded at the Shanti Park.

On the occasion, Centre's Chief stressed killing innocent animals would not bring peace in the society and also noted that the Vedic Satatan Dharma did not condone animal sacrifice.
