Not in a position to address issues of local level employees: CM Paudel

HETAUDA: Chief Minister of Province 3 Dor Mani Paudel has asserted that he is not in a position to address issues of local level employees.

"Due to lack of provincial laws and acts, my hands are tied. I am unable to address issues related to employees," CM Paudel said while addressing the central gathering of Karmachari Milan Kendra in Hetauda of Makwanpur district on Friday.

"I am still not authorised to deal with issues related to local level employees," Paudel clarified. He accepted there are differences in service benefits for local level employees and civil servants.

"Civil servants and local level employees have different service benefits. I know there is discrimination, however, appropriate integration is the main issue for the time being," UML PP leader of the province said.

CM Paudel clarified that he would work independently for the employees integration in the province.

Similarly, speaking on the same event, National Assembly member Ram Chandra Rai has vowed to extend his support for solving local level employees issues.

Likewise, District Coordination Committee Makwanpur Chairman Raghunath Khukal said federalism envisioned for Nepal is slowly and steadily taking its shape.

Karmachari Milan Kendra Chairperson Bikram Maharjan said that condition of local level employees is miserable compared to civil servants. He lamented that the local level employees are compelled to work under junior civil servants.

On the occasion, Karmachari Milan Kendra felicitated Tanka Moktan, Chairperson of Kailash Rural Municipality in the district.
