NSU protests YCL atrocities
Kathmandu, September 8:
Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) organised a torch rally today demanding an end to attack on its cadres by the members of Young Communist League.
The rally was organised to protest the attack on NSU leaders and cadres at Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science in Rampur, Chitwan, four days ago.
According to the chief of Publicity Department of the Nepal Students’ Union Ram Prasad Adhikary, Young Communist League cadres from the nearby Shaktikhor camp were involved in the attack.
He said one of the injured leaders Suk Bahadur Gurung has been receiving treatment at the Trihuvan University Teaching Hospital.
The rally went through Padmodaya Mode, Putalisadak, Bagbazar and converged into a corner meet at Ratna Park.
Addressing the corner meet, acting president of the Nepal Students’ Union Pramod Hari Guragain condemned the attack and demanded the campus administration and the government to take immediate action against the culprits.
