NWSC’s request to people

Kathmandu, June 3:

Kathmandu Valley is facing shortage of drinking water because the sources of water are drying up.

Production of water in the Valley has reduced by as much as 50 per cent and the Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC) is finding it increasingly difficult to meet the demand for water.

The NWSC has been adopting all means for supplying water, but has not been able to make the supply system easy, the NWSC said in a statement today.

The NWSC has also appealed to all consumers to reduce use of water and not to pump water directly from the pipe by using electric water pumps.
