Officials pledge to control criminal activities at Nepal-India border

BHIMDATTANAGAR: Security officials of both Nepal and India have reached an agreement to coordinate with each other to control criminal activities and wildlife poaching along the border.

The agreement reads that officials of Armed Police Force of Nepal and Seema Suraksha Bal of India will also coordinate with the other to curb human trafficking, smuggling of illegal drugs, prevent encroachment upon the no man's land and protest border pillars.

The agreement was reached at a meeting of security officials of Nepal and India organised by the APF Border Security Office in Bhimdattanagar of Kanchanpur today.

APF DSP Tara Datta Panta said that they also reached an agreement to exchange information with the other security officials of Nepal and India to curb criminal activities along the border.
