Oli-led govt an amalgam of opposing forces, says Bhattarai

Hetauda, November 9

Former prime minister Baburam Bhattarai today accused the government of running without any concrete plans and principles.

Speaking at an interaction in Hetauda on Monday, Bhattarai said, “The incumbent government is an amalgam of forces that are die hard supporters of republicanism, federalism and secularism and the forces which are completely against them.

Half-a-dozen leaders, who represent opposing political views have been appointed deputy prime ministers. Hence, there is nothing one can expect from such a government,” he said.

He also cast doubts on effective implementation of the constitution as the government also has participation of forces that are opposed to the new constitution.

Bhattarai underscored the need for unity among people from all ethnicity, language and regions for sustainable peace in the country.

He also stressed the need for a new force to deal with current challenges. “With the promulgation of the new constitution, we are more in need of a new force than ever,” said Bhattarai.
