Oli-led NCP Sudurpaschim Committee recommends action against Bhim Rawal

KATHMANDU: The Sudurpaschim Province Committee of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has recommended an action against Bhim Rawal.

Fourth meeting of Sudurpaschim Province Committee, held in Dhangadhi, recommended the action against Rawal, who held the position of Sudurpaschim province incharge of NCP before the party split, accusing him of financial irregularities in the party's account.

According to Surya Thapa, press advisor to the PM, Rawal had embezzled Rs 3 million from the party’s account. The meeting also expanded the committee to comprise 551 members, added Thapa.

Rawal is close to the Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal led splinter faction of NCP.

The meeting replaced Rawal with Lekhraj Bhatta and named Karna Bahadur Thapa as Sudurpaschim's chairperson. It also decided to plan a mass gathering in Dhangadhi to be addressed by PM Oli on Friday.
