Oli stresses honest implementation of peace accord

Kathmandu, November 12:

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs K P Oli today stressed honest implementation of the historic peace agreement for good results.

“We are hopeful that all concerned will uphold the agreement with honesty,” said Oli. He emphasised to focus on the major issues of endorsement of interim statute, formation of interim government and constituent assembly elections.

He said the Maoists need not be afraid of being isolated because the ‘need of reinstalling law and order and peace in the country’ is the primary agenda at the moment. “It is high time that we put an end to all kinds conflicts besetting the country,” he said adding that this agreement has offered the ways out to discriminatory social set up and establish a just society.

He was speaking at a programme organised by CPN UML Bara-Kathmandu Samparka Manch (Contact Forum) on 13th Memorial Day of Kishendra Bahadur Shahi. Shahi was once an advisor of the forum.

A retired Major of Nepal Army and well known pilot Shahi died of jaundice in the US while undergoing treatment.
