NT staffer abducted

ITAHARI: An unidentified gang on Friday afternoon abducted a technician of Nepal Telecom (NT), Inaruwa. The gang abducted Shekher Pokharel at around 2 pm from Amahibehla of the district while he was returning in a vehicle after repairing a telephone tower in Kaptangunj. According to the police, two other staffers were also in the vehicle. However, the abductors freed the other staffers. The police said that they were searching for the abductors. The family members of Pokharel have pleaded for his immediate release. — HNS
