Abductors held
ITAHARI: Police held three persons on the charge of their involvement in the abduction of Shekhar Pokharel, a technician at Nepal Telecom office, on Saturday. Acting upon a tip off, the police arrested the trio in possession of a pistol from Chimadi area of Sunsari. Pokharel, who was returning to Itahari from Devangunj after completing his duty, was abducted from Amahibelha on Friday. Pokharel was accompanied by his supervisor Sonelal Yadav and driver Govinda Chauhan during the time he was taken away. However, the other two had managed to escape, said the police. Identities of the abductors are yet to e disclosed. — HNS
He-goat kills man
RUKUM: Karna Bahadur KC (49) of Aathabisakot VDC died on Saturday, six days after a he-goat owned by Ratna Bahadur Malla of Khalanga had attacked him. According to District Police Office, Rukum, KC had been rushed to the District Hospital, Salle, after he was seriously injured in the attack. He, however, succumbed to the injuries while receiving treatment. The police said a complaint was lodged against the owner of the he-goat in which Malla was held responsible for the death. had pounced on KC while the latter was out of the house to answer
