Leader killed

NEPALGUNJ: An unidentified gang killed Subhas Barnawal,district committee member of Nepal Tarun Dal, Banke on Wednesday night. Barnawal, a resident of Kohalpur-2,Ramnagar, was returning home on his motorbike when the gang attacked him. According to the police,the incident took place near Tribhuvan Secondary School, in Kohalpur. Barnawal was also an employee at a local tax collection centre of Banke District Development Committee. Police have intensified search to track down the criminals. — HNS

Team in Rukum

DANG: A medical team dispatched by the Tulsipur Brigade of the Nepali Army reached the diarrhoea hit Rukum district on Thursday. The team reached the affected area with five hundred kilograms of medicines provided by the Tulsipur Chamber of Commerce and Industries. The medical team has set up camps in Arma and Purtim areas. The brigade informed that the medical team was headed by Brig Gen Bharat Malla.— HNS
