Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Zhang Maoming, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal today.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs Nepal in Singha Durbar, various aspects of Nepal–China relations, as well as matters of mutual cooperation, were discussed, according to the Ministry.
Extending his best wishes to the newly appointed Chinese envoy for a successful tenure, Minister Aryal expressed confidence that relations between Nepal and China would reach greater heights.
On the occasion, the Minister expressed gratitude for China's support to Nepal's socio-economic development and voiced his expectation that such assistance would continue in the future.
He also underscored the need for enhanced cooperation and collaboration between the two countries in sectors such as telecommunications and efforts to combat cybercrime.
In response, Ambassador Zhang congratulated the Government of Nepal for successfully conducting the March 5 election to the House of Representatives.
He reaffirmed his commitment to making every possible effort to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
