HURON’s concern
KATHMANDU: Human Rights Organisation of Nepal (HURON) has expressed concern over reports of abduction of students, teachers and businessmen by the Maoists during ceasefire. It urged the Maoists to implement all the rules of ceasefire and end such activities. Abductions have taken place in Morang, Accham, Pyuthan, Baitadi, Palpa, Rolpa, Tehr-athum and Rupandehi and they have failed to follow their commitment of not taking one-sided action against anyone during the truce, a HURON statement said on Tuesday. — HNS
Fatteman awarded
DHANKUTA: The ‘’Indra Mohan Memorial Prize’’ for this year was given to singer Fatteman Rajbhandari amid a function here on Tuesday. Regional Education Director of the Eastern Region Bishnu Kumar Devkota handed over a commendation letter and a purse of Rs 10,000.
