Conservation project
BHARATPUR: A new programme is going to be launched in BP Shantinagar of Bharatpur Municipality with an objective of conserving wildlife species. The forest area under the ownership of Bharatpur Municipality has been handed over to the Bill Jordan Foundation on lease for ten years for the conservation project. The agreement to this effect was signed between executive officer of Bharatpur Municipality and Deputy Director of Bill Jordan Foundation, Jo Brodi James and Chairman of the Tiger-Rhino Conservation society, Ajeep Poudyal. — RSS
Peace rally held
SYANGJA: A peace rally and lighting was organised at Syangja bazaar on Wednesday by human rights organisations including the Human Rights and Peace Society. Present at the rally organised wishing for peace in the country, were students and people from the youth clubs, social organisations and journalists. The rally which started at the municipality later converged at Mahendra Chowk. The organisations also carried out illuminations at Shiva temple. — RSS
Lawyers’ form forum
BUTWAL: A seven-member Lumbini Zonal Independent Lawyers’ Forum 2062 BS has been constituted under the chairmanship of lawyer Madhuraj Pandey with an objective of maintaining worthy democratic and professional norms with regard to nation, nationalism, monarchy and the constitutional monarchy. A gathering organised to this effect selected Manoj K Chaudhari as vice-chairman, Nagendra Basyal as secretary, Santosh K Mishra as treasurer. — RSS
