Cop hurt in attack

Lahan: One police constable was injured when Maoists fired at security forces guarding an exam centre at JS Murarka Campus, Lahan, on Tuesday. They also abducted one policeman. The injured policeman, Ram Kumar Yadav, is undergoing treatment at Birendra Army Hospital, Kathmandu. The Maoists abducted head constable Narad Bharati. — HNS

Jail for ‘accused’

BARA: Bara District court on Monday ordered jail for three persons until further prosecution. The three — Mohammed Samsad of Laxmipur of Rakshaul, India, Mohammed Samim of Jitpur-3, Bhawanipur and Bigurai Bhar of Chatapipra-8, Bara — had been arrested on the charge of murdering Dr Gauri Shankar Lal Das, 75, of Jitpur-3 of Bhawanipur, Bara. — HNS

New curfew schedule

MYAGDI: With effect from Thursday, the curfew will be imposed in 10 VDCs of the Myagdi district from 7:30 am to 4 am. Earlier, the curfew used to be imposed between from 9 pm to four in the morning. — RSS
