RPP faction for meet

Kathmandu: The Padma Sundar Lawoti faction of the RPP, which is demanding that the party should back the incumbent government and hold talks with it for reconciliation, on Wednesday registered a motion at the party headquarters here to convene a general convention of the party by June 8. Party leader Dhruva Bahadur Pradhan has said that the application moved will have to be checked and signatories verified.— HNS

Nine Maoists killed

KATHMANDU: Nine Maoists were killed in the latest operation carried out in different parts of the nation by the security forces, the military public relations directorate said on Wednesday.
