Implement orders: SC

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the government to implement its orders. The court issued the strictures while ordering the release of various CPN-UML leaders including Bamdev Gautam, Krishna Gopal Shrestha, NC leaders Amod Prasad Upadhyaya, student leader Guru Raj Ghimire and woman leader Meena Pandey. Meanwhile, the government was issued show cause notices as to why NC general secretary Sushil Koirala, Laxman Ghimire, Gopal Rai and Gopal Pahadi were detained. — HNS

Panel to review syllabi

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) on Tuesday formed an 11-member committee to study the present school-level curricula and provide suggestions so as to give the education system a ‘nationalistic’ flavour. The School Level Curriculum Reform Committee, which has been formed under the chairmanship of Jagannath Awa, the

executive director at curriculum development centre (CDC), has been given a time frame of July 15 to submit its report. — HNS
