Rahim meets Pandey:

KATHMANDU: Secretary-General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) QAMA Rahim paid a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs Ramesh Nath Pandey at the latter’s office on Thursday. Matters relating to the ongoing cooperation under SAARC as well as importance of regional cooperation in South Asia were discussed during the meeting, the ministry said. — HNS

Man stabbed to death:

DHADING: One person was killed in an attack by an unidentified gang at Mahadevsthan, Dhading, on Wednesday, according to area police office Gajuri. Police said Pemba Lama was stabbed to death by a group of unidentified people when he went to attend a neighbour’s wedding ceremony. — HNS

Broadcasters’ concern:

Kathmandu: The World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) has expressed serious concern over the status of community radios in Nepal following the February 1 political change. The AMARC has appealed to the government to remove ban on community radios to broadcast news and current affairs programmes. —HNS
