Four girls rescued
DHADING: The police on Monday rescued four girls of Sindhupalchowk district while they were being trafficked to India. Those rescued are Srijana Pariyar, Sangita Budhathoki, Junkiri Damini and Kanchhi Sarkini of Thangpal village development committee
of the district, the police source said. The police has arrested Govinda Tamang, one
of the three criminals involved in the trafficking, it is said. RSS
Peltric set installed
MUGU: A peltric set of 5 kw capacity has been installed at Murma VDC of Mugu district situated on the lap of Rara lake at a total cost of Rs1.03 million. The necessary amount was availed jointly by the DDC development fund, donations from different nongovernmental organisations and voluntary labour of the people, it is said. Some 61 households are said to have benefited from the set. RSS
Indian pilgrim dies
JANAKPUR: An indian pilgrim, who arrived at Janakpurdham this morning, died in the bus he was travelling due to cold-wave. The deceased was 55-year Kaluji of Ramtal district in Madhya Pradesh state of India. Kaluji was in a pilgrimage along with his wife and son, it is said. He was cremated at Sagarnath. RSS

NEPALGUNJ: Human Rights Awareness Forum, Banke started a three-day child journalism refreshment training from on Friday. Some 30 children related to different child clubs in the district are participating in the training. RSS
Training on literacy drive
TULSIPUR: A six-day training on community literacy programme management kicked
off here on Friday under the joint auspices
of Dang District Literacy Network and Community Literacy Project. The Dang DDC chairman Devendra Giri while inaugurating the training said that the role of NGOs in promoting literacy and awareness of the rural people is of paramount importance. Various persons including District Education Officer Chunda Mani Paudel spoke on different aspects of the training. Some 34 persons are participating. RSS
