9 Kirant cadres held

Phidim: Police detained nine cadres of the Pallo Kirant Limbuwan Rastriya Manch from Phidim while they were trying to obstruct the CA team from collecting public opinion on new constitution on Tuesday. Cadres of PKLRM entered a programme hall and tried to obstruct opinion collection process while the team was collecting opinion from the people of Ranitar, Chogmagu and Phidim. — HNS

Fire kills elderly

CHARIKOT: Chhatra Kumari Ghimire (67) of Bigu VDC-2 of Dolakha district was killed when fire engulfed her house on Monday. There were 12 persons inside the house when the fire broke out. The police said property worth Rs one million was destroyed by the fire.— HNS
