Mystery disease kills 2

RAMECHHAP: Two persons of Bhirpani VDC-4 in Ramechhap district died from an unknown disease on Thursday. Bhirpani VDC secretary Kul Bikram Shrestha said the dead were Jit Bahadur Sunwar and Kul Bahadur Shrestha. Dr Indra Prasad Poudel of the District Health Office termed the disease mysterious and said a team of health worker would be sent to the VDC soon. — HNS

Artistes on agitation

KATHMANDU: Artistes and musicians announced the launch of a "cultural agitation" on Thursday to save Nepali music and film industry. They formed Nepal Music Development Committee and threatened to go for a decisive protest if authorities concerned did not meet their nine-point demand. Among other things, they are demanding a ban on unauthorised broadcast of music. — HNS
