Counting stopped

ITAHARI: Counting of votes in Sunsari-2 has been stopped after Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) padlocked the venue of vote counting, saying that there was foul play while counting of votes of Sunsari-2. RPP has padlocked the venue blaming the votes of the party were not counted. An all party-meeting to be held on Sunday will decide about the re-election in this constituency. — HNS

SJTMM cadre held

SIRAHA: Police arrested Ram Narayan Sada, a cadre of Samyukta Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (SJTMM), from Asanpur Golbazaar of Siraha district on Saturday. Sada, a resident of Lahan-2, was held while he was trying to collect money from Dr Min Kumar Lama of Asanpur-7, the Golbazaar Area Police Office said. Sada was demanding Rs 5 lakhs from Lama, police said. — HNS
