DAMAK: Delayed election for new camp management committees at the Damak-based Beldangi camps began on Monday. The election of sector chief in all the three camps in Beldangi are over, secretary of Beldangi camp no 1, DP Pradhan said. CMC election in the Goldhap camp of Jhapa was held on Monday, while election in the Timai, Khudunabari and Sanischare camps will be over by Thursday, Pradhan said. — HNS

Mishap kills woman

POKHARA: A 45-year-old woman, Tasi Kumari Gurung of Pokhara-10, was killed when a jeep hit her in the city on Tuesday morning. She succumb to her injuries in the afternoon while undergoing treatment at the western regional hospital, Pokhara, said the Kaski district police office, adding the driver was held and jeep was impounded. — HNS
