One killed in mishap
SINDHUPALCHOWK: A man was killed when a container van was buried in a
landslide at the Liching bazaar bordering Tibet on Wednesday. The van in which Chyangba Tamang of Sindhupalchowk’s Ramche Village Development Committee-3 was travelling in was parked when the incident occurred in the morning, police said. The unidentified driver of the van escaped with minor injuries. — HNS
Bijukchhe’s appeal
RUPANDEHI: Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party (NWPP) chairman Nayaranman Bijukchhe on Wednesday urged all democratic forces to unite and rebuff those elements trying to foil the CA polls. Rs 5m Indian aid
KATHMANDU: Alok Sinha, deputy chief of mission, Embassy of India, today laid foundation stone for the new building of Shree Gokundeswar Higher Secondary School in the Dhankuta district being constructed with an Indian grant assistance of Rs 5.31 million. A release issued today said the new infrastructure would cope with increasing number of students. It said, “The construction would also fulfil the vision of developing the school into a high-quality institution offering affordable education.” — HNS
