Tusker menace

DHANGADHI: Four persons were injured when a herd of wild elephants attacked a camp of freed Kamaiyas at Baliya VDC-8 of Kailali. The tuskers also demolished 95 houses and standing crop in the area. Madri Chaudhari and Guliya Chaudhari were seriously hurt in the pachyderms’ attack, the Lamki area police office said. Phulram Chaudhari and Suman chaudhari escaped with minor injuries. — HNS

Kathmandu: The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) today strongly opposed an initiation taken by Chief Justice Dilip Kumar Paudel to appoint judges. An NBA delegation met Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Narendra Bikram Nembang and opposed the CJ’s move. — HNS
