One killed in mishap :

BARA: A 55-year-old teacher, Raj Kant Mishra, was killed on the spot when his motorcycle rammed into a tractor parked at the side of the road at Singaul-1, Bharatgunj of Bara along the East-West Highway on Friday, Area Police Office Nijgadh said. Mishra was a teacher at Durga Secondary School, Chandranigahapur. — HNS

Passengers robbed :

BIRATNAGAR: A group of seven armed dacoits looted a passenger bus bound for Kakarvitta from Kathmandu at Kanepokhari in Morang district on Saturday morning. According to the Area Police Office, Belbari, the dacoits made away with cash and valuables worth Rs 150,000. After looting the bus, the armed group vandalised it. — HNS
