BHOJPUR: Police in Sankhuwasabha district on Thursday reportedly arrested a man in possession of a deer hide in Silichong Rural Municipality-3.

The arrested has been identified as local resident Uttar Kumar Rai.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police deployed from Tamku Police Post raided the house belonging to Rai and seized the hide which was hidden in a room in Lumngadiya today

Meanwhile, police have handed Rai over to Division Forest Office in Khandbari for further investigation, according to Police Inspector Ramji Katuwal at Sankhuwasabha District Police Office.

Rai will be tried under the National Park and Wildlife Act 1973, said police.
