CHITWAN: A youth lost his life while 12 others sustained injuries after a bus ferrying wedding party overturned at Madi-Thori Road Section in Eastern Chitwan on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Mithun Mahato of Madi Municipality-2. Mahato breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital, District Police Office, Chitwan informed.

According to passengers on board, the bus driver took the wheels while inebriated and lost control of the vehicle.

The injured have been rushed to Bharatpur Hospital while the bus driver is still at large, police officials said.
