KATHMANDU: A person died on the spot and another sustained injuries after the motorcycle they were riding on met with an accident on Parsagadhi Municipality-5 of Parsa district on Saturday night, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Raghosaran Chaudhary (27) and injured as Sotai Mukhiya (26), both local residents.

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Na 44 1687) lost its control and fell on the road in Harpur at 12:45 am yesterday, injuring rider Chaudhary and pillion rider Mukhiya.

The injured Mukhiya is undergoing treatment at the Birgunj-based Sarbottam Hospital.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
